AGHA MBA LAUDS GOV. SOLUDO ON THE EVENT OF ANAMBRA INNOVATION WEEK 2024
The commissioner of Youth Development on on the behalf the Ministry of Youth Development and Anambra Youths in general showered praise on Mr Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo for the successes recorded and impacts made on the youths with the just concluded Anambra State Innovation week 2024.
The Commissioner made the applause at the grand finale of the event held at ICC, Awka. The programme which Theme is “Creating the Future of Africa, Now” targets promoting innovation, technological advancements, and digital transformation, particularly in addressing specific socio-economic challenges in Africa. The Commissioner stated that the programme aligns with Mr. Governor’s agenda of “Everything Technology, Technology Everything”.
Mr Patrick Agha Mba, who observed that the Governor’s idea of Anambra innovation week have brought a lot of discovering, groundbreaking innovations, networking with industry leaders, and findings of collaborative opportunities which will surely lead towards solutions that drive impact.
He also appreciated Mr. Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, idea of redefining youth empowerment from immediate consumption to a more productive, innovative, exportive and impactful venture saying the Governor mission of making Anambra State a destination hub is already here. In his words “The Power of One Man, your mission of making Anambra State a destination hub is already here and we boldly feeling it”.
The commissioner said Mr. Governor have made youth development a primary objective in Anambra State and the results are being seen all over the state. He thanked Mr. Governor for his intentionality and pro-activeness in human capital development holistically, especially youth development. He stated Mr. Governor has also taken the youth agenda to the next level by creating limitless opportunities boundless possibilities for the youths of Anambra state. He reported that in the first phase of 1Youth2Skills Solution, 5000 visible youths were empowered with Vocational and Entrepreneurship Skills, with N2b spent for grants for business financing. Whilein the second phase with over 8,000 expected to be beneficiaries.
Mr Patrick finally congratulated Miss Chiwe Okoli,, the Special Adviser to Mr Governor on Business Incubation for successfully piloting the event, making sure that youths and those that attended the innovation programme did not go home with only cash reward but also benefited from the knowledge that includes Fintech, Healthtech, Edtech, AI, IoT, blockchain, cybersecurity, and more.
