Governor Soludo Pays Visual Inspired Beneiciaries of "ONE YOUTH TWO SKILLS SOLUTION"
In a historic event on January 17, 2024, Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR brought joy and elation to Anambra State as he disbursed funds to the visually impaired beneficiaries of the One Youth Two Skills Solution. These beneficiaries inadvertently omitted during the initial N2 Billion Grant for 1 Youth 2 Skills Business Financing Scheme in the state, experienced a momentous day marked by gratitude and appreciation. The event followed a recent approval and release of funds by the state governor for the payment of Forty-Three beneficiaries of the Scheme, whose names were omitted.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, Commissioner for Youth Development, Anambra State, expressed gratitude for their patience and unwavering belief in Governor Soludo's vision. He recalled that many beneficiaries faced challenges such as incorrect spelling of names, wrong phone numbers, and mismatches with NIN/BVN during the initial disbursement, which affected their selection process.
The Commissioner, commended Governor Soludo for his responsive governance, particularly acknowledging the Governor's attention to the concerns of Anambra's youth, especially those from the Disability Communities. The commissioner praised Soludo's commitment to transparency and inclusiveness in governance.
The leader of the group, Mr. Malachi Azike expressed heartfelt appreciation to Governor Soludo for making them beneficiaries of the One Youth Two Skills Solution and for addressing their needs. In a unanimous decision, a vote of confidence was passed on Governor Soludo's administration, accompanied by a call for an extension of his tenure to eight years.
The event saw the presence of key figures, including Lady Chito Osili, Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth Development, and Engr. Emeka Tony Omata, Special Adviser to the Governor on Youths Development, along with other management staff of the Ministry.
This occasion not only marked a significant milestone for the visually impaired beneficiaries but also highlighted Governor Soludo's dedication to youth empowerment and inclusive governance in Anambra State.
