Welcomed by Rev. Fr. Raymond Umennajiuba, the rector of JIMATECH Institute, Commissioner Mba explored the institute's diverse offerings, including training in Confectioneries & Decorations, Fashion Design, Beauty Care, ICT, Live Stock, Cooking & Catherine, and Cosmetology. Expressing interest in collaboration, Fr. In line with the "1 Youth, 2 Skills Solution" advocated by Governor Soludo, Commissioner Mba applauded the initiative, emphasizing the need for collective efforts through the Public-Private Community Partnership (PPCP). The Commissioner urged individuals, agencies, and organizations to join forces to equip Anambra's youth with multiple skills. The aim is to address unemployment and restiveness, aligning with the administration's commitment to fostering a skilled and empowered youth population in Anambra State.
The Commissioner, during the tour of the facility, charged the students to pay more attention and learn what they're being taught as skill acquisition is the order of the day as it will make them useful and viable to meet up with the current economic situation of the nation. And also use the medium to call on the Institute & others to focus more on exportable goods outside the state and beyond.
Hon Osita Ozalagba, a Community leader was also around to welcome the Commissioner and his team.
