Governor Soludo Receives 2024 NYSC Batch A Stream Two Corps Members.

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo (CFR) of Anambra State, has received the 1702 members of the 2024 National Youth Service Corps, batch A (stream 2) deployed to serve in the state.

Receiving them at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu / Mbaukwu, Awka South LGA., Governor Soludo congratulated the Corp members for offering themselves to serve their fatherland for one year, assuring them of their safety in the state during the one-year national assignment.

Governor Soludo who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development and Chairman, NYSC Governing Board, Anambra State, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, urged the Corp members to utilize the opportunity well for their good, that of Anambra and Nigeria in general.

The Governor reminded them of the need to be dedicated while building a brighter future for themselves and harped on the importance of acquiring skills to increase their values in the labour market.

The Governor stated that the three-week orientation programme with diverse range of activities is meticulously designed to prepare them for the service year and encouraged them to maximize the opportunity which aims not only at enhancing their skills but also to instill in them the values of service and responsibility.

In his address, Commissioner for Youth Development and Chairman NYSC Governing Board Mr. Patrick Agha Mba represented by the ASATU youth president, Mr. Kenneth Okoli, informed the Corps members about Mr. Governor’s policy of developing the youth in all ramifications especially sports waxes, disclosing that the state government cherished hunting for talents in sports waxes stronger.

He also said that the ministry plans to mobilize sponsors for the 2024 batch A stream 2 finals of football and volleyball competitiond in the campsite, stressing that the talented Corp members would be fished out for further development.

He enjoined the Corps members to pay keen attention to every aspect of the orientation exercise as the lessons learnt would be of immense benefit both during the year and beyond.

Mr. Agha Mba stated that the three weeks orientation program would immerse Corps members in a diverse range of activities meticulously designed to prepare them for their upcoming service year. These activities aimed not only to enhance their skills but also to instill in them the values of service and responsibility.

The State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs Blessing Ekene Iruma took the opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo and Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, Chairman of the NYSC Governing Board, for their unwavering support which has been instrumental in the success of the NYSC program in the State.

The State Coordinator of the NYSC, Mrs Blessing Iruma, in her address expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Chukwuma Soludo and the Chairman of the NYSC Governing Board, Mr Agha Mba for their unwavering support which has been instrumental to the success of the NYSC programme in the State.

She assured the good conduct of the Corps members and their valuable impact to the growth and development of the state.

The event was attended by the Traditional Ruler of Umuawulu community, Igwe Joel Egwuonwu, ASATU Youth President, Comrade Ken Okoli, among others.
