Commissioner for Youth Celebrates with Children on Children's Day, Highlights Youth Partnered Programmes and Milestone

ANAMBRA CHILDREN, HAPPY CELEBRATION

The occasion of 2024 commemoration of the Children's Day presents us with a huge opportunity for celebration with our children.

For Ndi Anambra, it is our opportunity to thank God for the giant strides we have been recording in children and youth development through the encouraging support of the Solution Government of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR.

The government of Prof. Soludo has been outstanding in it's children-friendly and pro-youth programs. This has resulted in the several awards and laurels that Anambra children, pupils and youths have been winning domestically and internationally.

Among the outstanding programs of the Solution Government for children are the free ante-natal for pregnant women in public hospitals; free child delivery for women; free education in public schools and the various infrastructure works in state-owned basic schools.

For the youth, the government has initiated many empowerment programs such as the '1 Youth 2 Skills Solution' program which has been recording immense success and enabled 5000 youths to learn new skills and set up small and medium scale businesses all over Anambra State.

The government, through the Ministry of Youth Development has established several partnerships with many national and international agencies including the UNDP, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and others to empower our youths.

I use this opportunity to encourage all young people in Anambra State to explore the opportunities.
